Featuring Gang Dong-won as a writer who struggles to come up with his next hit novel, M is a prismatic work that explores the complicated fabric of human memory and emotion. Though initially billed as something of a romance, Lee's film leans more towards arthouse aspirations yet its undeniable beauty and absolutely singular vision make it one of the very best Korean films out there.
Please enjoy this terrific work from one of Korea's very best directors, whose vision has oft times proven too powerful for the studios that have hired him. Sadly, Lee is struggling to make his next film and M still stands as his most recent production.
