Most Anticipated Korean Films of 2015

20. Angry Painter
성난 화가
Dir: Jeon Kyu-hwan (The Weight, 2012)
Cast: Yu Jun-sang (The Day He Arrives, 2011)
Production: Treefilm
Distribution:
Filming Dates2013-08-21 ~ 2013-11-09
Status: Completed
Genre: Erotic-Thriller
Plot: A painter discovers his friend his Estonian girlfriend have been killed. He travels to Europe with the girl's remains, seeking out her sister. Gradually, his true identity is revealed.

The first Estonia-Korea co-production, Angry Painter promises to be a wild and erotic ride. The poster is pretty edgy and while I wasn't thrilled about Jeon Kyu-hwan's last two films, though I love his Town Trilogy, this one seems promising. Doesn't hurt to have the ever-charismatic Yu Jun-sang in the lead.
